8 Band Puzzle Ring Instructions
The 8 band puzzle ring series has great versatility in the use of different coloured golds and variety of effects. As the number of bands increases so does the complexity of the puzzle. Our 8 band puzzle ring instructions are intended for the puzzle rings crafted by our jewellers. However these 8 band puzzle ring instructions should work for others as well.
Here are the steps to follow:
1.
In your left hand, hold the band with the “1” stamp so the bumpy part of the band is facing up – this band is one of the rounded outside bands.
2.
Bring the band with the “2” stamp up so that it and the “1” band are against each other and the bumpy parts are forming a diamond shape – this band is the other rounded outside band.
3.
Bring up two bands stamped “5” and “7” up on one side and two bands stamped “6” and “8” on the other side – it is good to note that these bands are the rounded outside bands when your 8 band puzzle ring is assembled.
4.
With your right hand, grab hold of the band with the “4” stamp so that the stamp is facing you and the flat part of the band is facing up. Let the first six bands (“1”, “2”, “5”, “6”, “7” and “8”) fall to one side.
5.
With your free hand, grab hold of the flat part of the band with the “3” stamp and bring it up to the “4” band until the bands are almost against one another.
6.
Turn the “3” band clockwise from the top until you have turned it 180 degrees. This should bring the “3” and “4” bands together, with the tops of the bands forming an X when viewed from above.
7.
While holding the “3” and “4” bands together, rotate the “8” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be over the remaining loose bands.
8.
Bring the “8” band up and fit it against the “3” band.
9.
On the other side of your 8 band puzzle ring rotate the “7” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be over the remaining loose bands. Bring the “7” band up and fit it against the “4” band.
10.
Turn your puzzle ring around and rotate the “6” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be over the remaining loose bands. Bring the “6” band up and fit it against the other bands.
11.
Turn your ring around and rotate the “5” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be over the remaining loose bands. Bring the “5” band up and fit it against the other bands.
12.
Turn your ring around and rotate the “2” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be over the loose “1” band.
13.
Turn your puzzle ring around and rotate the “1” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be under the loose “2” band.
14.
Fold the remaining two bands up against the other bands to complete your ring.
And there you go! Now your 8 band puzzle ring is reassembled and ready to wear! If you find it too difficult to solve and put your puzzle ring back together in the one sitting, leave it, take a break, and come back to it later.
