5 Band Puzzle Ring Instructions
The puzzle rings with odd numbers of bands are the most difficult to assemble and thus, the most challenging puzzles. Our 5 band puzzle ring instructions are intended for the puzzle rings crafted by our jewellers. However these 5 band puzzle ring instructions should work for others as well.
Here are the steps to follow:
1.
In your left hand, hold the band with the “5” stamp so the smooth top part of the band is facing up – this is the center band when your ring is assembled.
2.
With your right hand, bring the band with the “1” stamp up so that it and the “5” band are against each other – when looking down on your ring at this stage they form a D shape.
3.
Now hold your puzzle ring with your right hand and with your left hand bring the band with the “2” stamp up and place it against the other side of the “5” band – it's good to note that the “1” band and the “2” band are the rounded outside bands when your puzzle ring is assembled.
4.
With your left hand grab hold of the band with the “4” stamp so that the stamp is facing you and the bottom of the band is facing up. Let the first three bands (“1”, “5” and “2”) fall to one side.
5.
With your right hand, grab hold of the flat part of the band with the “3” stamp and bring it up to the “4” band until the bands are almost against one another.
6.
Turn the “3” band clockwise from the top until you have turned it 180 degrees. This should bring the “3” and “4” bands together, with the tops of the bands forming an X when viewed from above.
7.
While holding the “3” and “4” bands together, gently push the “5” band down between these two bands. Let the “3” and “4” bands loosen just enough to get the “5” band between them - this makes assembling your puzzle ring easier.
8.
While holding the “3”, “5” and “4” bands together, rotate the “2” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring. Now the bumpy part on the inside should be over the loose “1” band.
9.
Bring the “2” band up and fit it against the “3”, “5” and “4” bands.
10.
Rotate the “1” band until the bumpy part of the band is on the inside of your puzzle ring.
11.
Bring the “1” band up and fit it against the other bands to complete your ring.
And there you go! Now your 5 band puzzle ring is reassembled and ready to wear! If you find it too difficult to solve and put your puzzle ring back together in the one sitting, leave it, take a break, and come back to it later.
